Pitti Fragranze Fotoreport 4: Olivier Durbano: Heliotrope

Today I discovered a fundamental fact: besides a flower, heliotrope is also a... stone! And a very special one indeed: used from  Babylonian times on, it has an intensely green hue with blood-red sparkles  (see pic). Olivier Durbano chose it for his new scent, and chose to investigate the red sparkles which make it different from any other stone, rather then the green mass.   His "Heliotrope" fragrance is deep, harsh, incensey-smoky with a spirituality I recognized immediately. I'll tell you more about this because it's even deeper and more meditative than the other -already intensely spiritual- offerings in the line. I need to let it express thoroughly more than once before being able to tell something more.
