Bergamotto e Benzoino

Questa nuova versione dell' Heure Bleue mi ha davvero sorpresa. Per mancanza di idee, purtroppo. L'accordo centrale, vecchio di vent'anni, somiglia molto ad Insolence prima versione (un fiorito fruttato, frizzante e insieme polveroso con note di violetta, iris, frutta golosa e un bel fondo ambrato). Qui è contrappuntato da una nota ozonica che richiama la profumeria di nicchia di qualche anno fa (mi viene in mente Megamare di Orto Parisi). Il focus del profumo è tutto qui, in questa contrapposizione tra due concetti antitetici (femminile dolce/polveroso e accordo oceanico salato). Purtroppo però, i due accordi non dialogano in alcun modo , ma si stagliano vicini, in pieno sole, senza sfumature, complessità, né evoluzione. Il profumo dura almeno dieci ore, e l'intensità è tale da saturare una stanza: la nota ozonica suonata a tutto volume ha l'effetto di un antifurto nella notte, incapace di calare un decibel per otto ore piene. This new version of L'Heure Bleue really surprised me. For lack of ideas, unfortunately. The central accord is twenty-year-old, and closely resembles the first version of Insolence (a fruity-floral with crisp, powdery notes of violet and iris, and a lovely ambery base). Here it is counterpointed by an ozonic note recalling some niche perfumery stars of a few years ago ( Megamar e by Orto Parisi comes to mind). The formula focuses on the contrast between two antithetical concepts (sweet/powdery feminine and salty oceanic). Unfortunately, however, the two concepts do not dialogue in any way , but stand out close together, in full bloom, without any nuance, complexity, or evolution. The perfume lasts ten full hours, with an intense radiance that may saturate a whole room: the ozonic note played at full volume has the effect of an anti-theft device resounding in the night, unable to drop a decibel for eight hours. C'era una volta Vendetta di Valentino. Una gemma preziosa della profumeria italiana, un femminile caldo e generoso d otato di un sorriso gentile e maniere raffinate.  Nel suo cuore splendeva un bouquet fiorito, ricco di splendide materie prime, con tuberosa, gelsomino, fiordarancio, rosa, ylang ylang, garofano, eliotropio, giacinto e mughetto, attraversati da una lama di pungenti sensazioni verdi, che contrastavano l'opulenza fiorita, rendendola più fresca e gentile.  Una manciata di aldeidi illuminava tutta la piramide, mentre il fondo di note legnose e ambrate offriva una cornice dorata alla composizione, che usciva dal quadro con una tridimensionalità intrigante.  Discontinuato da diversi decenni, Vendetta esce oggi con una formula diversa, che non ricalca affatto quella del 1991.  Eppure, indossandolo, riconosco il mood . Once upon a time (1991) there was Vendetta by Valentino . A warm, inviting feminine gifted with a gentle smile and refined manners.  In her precious heart a floral bouquet used to shine, rich in splendid raw materials with tuberose, jasmine, orange blossom, rose, ylang ylang, carnation, heliotrope, hyacinth and lily of the valley, all intersected by a leafy undertone contrasting the floral opulence and the whole composition fresher and gentler.  A handful of aldehydes enlightened the entire pyramid, while an opulent woody, ambery background contributed a golden frame, from which Vendetta emerged with an intriguing three-dimensionality. Discontinued for several decades, Vendetta is released today with a different formula.  Yet, wearing it, I recognize the mood . The friendliness. The intriguing smile.
